The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Bergen County, Inc.
NAMI (Bergen County) is a grassroots, volunteer, charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals who suffer from a serious mental illness and their families.  This mission is accomplished through support, education and advocacy.  Once a month NAMI Bergen County provides a Mental Health Support Group for consumers in the process of recovery, a "Family Share" support group and the "Ask the Professional" lectures series.  Additionally, the 12 week "Family-to-Family" education course on mental illness is offered in the spring and the fall each year.  All of these activities are free of charge.

The New Jersey Self-Help Group Clearinghouse is a statewide non-profit that helps people to find all types of self-help groups. They maintain a database of over 4,500 self-help group meetings throughout New Jersey for abuse, addiction, bereavement, health, mental health, rare illness, family, parenting and more. People can contact them on their toll-free number 1-800-367-6274 to find a group near them.
