Supported Employment

Supported Employment

Some members respond more positively to an individualized employment approach, but need some assistance achieving their goals.  Our Supportive Employment program provides the following services to these members:

Pre-Placement – Assists members with resumes, applications, and interviewing skills. Additionally, Job Coaches conduct an employment search to secure an appropriate match.

Job Coaching - Works with members at the work site, teaching hands-on skills needed to succeed as well as educating the employer about members’ abilities and challenges. Job Coaches address any communication, socialization, and/or behavior issues affecting members’ overall performance.

Long Term Follow Along – Provides support directly at the work site enabling members to maintain community employment.

Transitional Employment Program

Members who demonstrate job readiness skills and wish to explore vocational options are offered the opportunity to gradually transtion to community employment with our partnering businesses.
